enney’s interest in rodeo came young & he started competing in high school, into college while simultaneously playing music in a country band. Ironically, at a local rodeo in ‘95, the announcer ‘no showed’ and Kenney reluctantly filled in to help & from there, his career began. Working many different rodeos over the next few years & becoming the rodeo coach at Missouri Valley College, Kenney received his PRCA Pro Rodeo Announcer card in 2000 (at 25 yrs old) and he’s worked btwn 75-100 performances annually since & currently.
